Sandycroft are pleased to announce the completion of another successful project at the Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire and this one had us looking to the heavens!
This project is the latest accommodation offering from the Alton Towers Hotel with over one hundred ‘Stargazing Pods’, sleeping up to 408 guests, installed along with the construction of a facilities building. In conjunction with our design team, Sandycroft came up with a unique design and build construction solution that are consistent with the neighbouring Enchanted Village.
This recently completed project involved extensive groundworks and landscaping with over 10,000m2 of planted and grassed areas forming the perfect glamping setting for the resort’s guests. Site wide services were installed including electric supplies and fire alarm points to each pod and site wide WiFi and CCTV infrastructure.
The 36 week contract was completed on time at the end of March this year and received glowing commendations from all concerned with the project. It’s been a real pleasure and honour working for Alton Towers Resort and we hope to continue our relationship for many years to come.
