Macclesfield Rapid Response Renal Dialysis Unit
Sandycroft Projects were employed by Fresenius Medical Care Renal Services Limited to manage the design and installation of a temporary dialysis unit at Macclesfield Hospital in partnership with Portakabin. All civils and other enabling works were completed by Sandycroft with the manufacture/delivery of the portable facility being undertaken by Portakabin.

Conclusion
The infrastructure works were completed on time for the delivery of the RRU and the facility was in operation until the permanent facility was completed (also by Sandycroft). Ultimately the portable building was removed from site and transferred to storage. Sandycroft then cleared the site of all temporary foundations, drainage and infrastructure. The temporary unit is now located in Blackburn fulfilling a similar function, for which Sandycroft also completed the necessary mobilisation works.
