Spiral Freezer Extension
Wrights is one of the UK’s leading bakeries and foodservice suppliers and its £25million bakery complex in Crewe, East Cheshire, is capable of producing over five million frozen savoury products every week. Wrights have been a family business since 1926, Wrights blends traditional cooking methods with the latest manufacturing technology. It was therefore fantastic to be invited to start work on a project for Wrights Pies in Crewe after we’d been recommended to the Chairman and CEO, Peter Wright by one of our sub-contractors.
The project was fast tracked, and we started work within a fortnight of appointment on a complex project involving demolition and alteration work, groundworks, structural steelwork and cladding to create a building to house a state-of-the-art spiral freezer. In difficult circumstances we worked closely with the Client and his team together with client appointed specialists and finished the project in the tightest timescales. The project could not be tendered due to time constraints and therefore the works have been completed on a cost-plus basis which gives the employer value for money whilst reducing the procurement process to the minimum.
